I painted my lower/metal timing belt cover. In the process, I removed the bead of black, rubber like material that seals it to the block. Now I need to replace it. Any suggestions on what to use? Flex Shot comes to mind, but I don't know if it will remain flexible after hardening or stand up to the heat. Similar products say they're good up to 250F. I also considered slitting some small silicone hose and sliding it over contact points. Not to be picky, but please tell me exactly what I can use (product name) not some generic tub sealer, etc. Thanks for any help.
